Partnership, and Encouragement: Samar’s BtG Experience
It has been a truly meaningful journey for Samar and his family since joining Bridging the Gap, and his parents are deeply appreciative of the growth they have seen along the way.

Samar’s mummy shared warmly when reflecting on his progress.
She described the journey as “very encouraging and nurturing,” and expressed appreciation for the calm, supportive environment that allows Samar to learn at his own pace.
Mummy also shared her hope that, through these positive experiences, Samar will continue to grow and “translate it into real life.” She appreciates how the team does not place too much pressure on him, but instead provides slow, engaging learning experiences that are suited to his needs and learning style.
Reflecting on their family journey, she described it as “easy going,” highlighting how much she values the constant “communication and help” from the BtG team.
Compared to previous experiences elsewhere, where they often only heard concerns about Samar’s behaviour, she shared how meaningful it is to now receive consistent feedback that supports his development.
For her, the word “partnership” stands out the most.
She expressed how the BtG team works closely with both the family and mainstream school, ensuring that everyone is aligned in supporting Samar’s progress. “That’s the word,” she said with a smile, as she reflected on how this collaboration has made a real difference in their journey together.
