A Letter to You from Someone Au-some! 🌈
Hey there, I'm reaching out to you as someone who's just trying to find their way in this big, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming world. You see, I'm one of the many individuals living life on the Autism Spectrum, and I wanted to share a bit about my journey with you. First off, I want you to know that I'm more than just a label. Bridging the Gap: Elevating Your Child’s Life Beyond Special Needs
Having a child with special needs impacts the entire family. As a special needs caregiver myself, the path forward beyond diagnosis was fraught with uncertainty, confusion, and anxiety. A diagnosis is not a curse, but a signpost guiding you towards understanding your child’s behaviour and needs. If you’re a new special needs caregiver with little or no experience, there are experts from Bridging the Gap who are here for you and your child.

It all starts with
Understanding Autism: Seeing the Spectrum from the Rainbow Itself
Understanding somebody’s situation might require us to think how it is like to be in their shoe. Oftentimes, instead of putting ourselves into their shoe, we tend to fix the shoe first and redirect these into our own standards of dos and don’ts. And unknowingly, we tend to approach individuals with Autism like that. But how is it really like to be in the spectrum? The world has invested massive studies on Autism Spectrum Disorder and thankfully, we have been more educated about it. More intervention strategies have been developed too, thus, services for individuals with ASD has been more
The Importance of Early Intervention: Identifying Developmental Delays in Preschoolers and Young Children
Prior to the 2000s and 2010s, Early Intervention was not an option to many parents. Although they may have noticed some delays or differences in their child, it is unlikely that they considered early intervention. One of the reasons are due to some of the myths of older generations. For example, a 3-year old child is not talking yet. This may just be regarded as “delay” and eventually the child would speak after few months. Another example would be, when a child is still unable to walk by 2 years of age, for some, they would think that using a walker
